Time to get started
~ 3–5 minutes
If you already use Solflare
You will need
SOL + USDC
On Solana, in your Solflare wallet
Basic flow
Create → Play → Withdraw
Escrow holds the pot until the match is settled (ref for Rocket League, auto for arcade games).
Step-by-step
  1. 1
    Create your RL Wager account
Go to /register, pick a username, and complete your profile. This is the name refs and opponents see.
  2. 2
    Install / unlock Solflare
Use the Solflare browser extension or mobile app. Make sure the wallet is unlocked before you try to connect.
  3. 3
Fund Solflare with SOL and USDC
Send SOL and USDC on Solana to your Solflare address from an exchange or another wallet. You need both.
    • USDC is what becomes WT (wager tokens).
    • SOL pays tiny network fees for deposits / withdrawals.
  4. 4
    Connect wallet on RL Wager
On the home or /wallet page, click Connect Wallet and choose Solflare. Approve the connection so we can read balances.
  5. 5
    Deposit USDC → receive WT
On /wallet, pick an amount of USDC to deposit. You sign in Solflare, and your site balance updates in WT.
1 USDC = 10 WT inside RL Wager.
  6. 6
    Create or join a match
Go to /discovery. Either join an open lobby or create your own with game mode and stake.
    • Set stake WT per player (e.g. 100 WT).
    • Share the match code with the other player.
    • Your stake is locked in escrow when you confirm.
    • Rocket League uses a human ref; arcade games (Connect 4, RPS, etc.) settle automatically on the server.
  7. 7
Play and get the result settled
Play the actual game. For Rocket League, a referee reviews proof (replay / screenshot) and confirms the winner. For arcade games like Connect 4 and RPS, the server automatically decides the winner and settles the match instantly.
  8. 8
    Withdraw winnings back to USDC
On /wallet, choose how many WT to withdraw. WT converts back to USDC and is sent to your Solflare wallet.
From Solflare you can move USDC back to an exchange or another wallet.
Before you start wagering
  • Use money you are willing to lose. This is real wagering.
  • Never share your seed phrase or private keys with anyone.
  • Double-check match codes and usernames before confirming higher stakes.
  • If something feels off, stop and contact support through official channels.
What you need, in plain English
1. Solflare wallet
Browser extension or mobile app. This holds your SOL and USDC on Solana.
2. SOL
You need a small amount (0.01–0.05 SOL is usually enough) to pay network fees.
3. USDC on Solana
This is the actual money you wager. Inside RL Wager it is represented as WT.
4. A game to play
Rocket League (ref-confirmed) or arcade titles like Connect 4 and RPS (auto-settled). Make sure you can host / join lobbies normally before you add money.
How your money actually moves
Very short version of what happens to your USDC:
  1. You send USDC from Solflare to RL Wager and receive WT (1 USDC = 10 WT).
  2. You lock WT into a match escrow when you create or join a lobby.
  3. The match is settled: for Rocket League, a ref confirms the result; for arcade games like Connect 4 and RPS, the server auto-detects the winner.
  4. The winner gets the pot in WT (minus the platform fee).
  5. The winner withdraws WT back to USDC to their Solflare wallet.
Example
You and an opponent play a 200 WT (20 USDC) 1v1. Both lock 100 WT.
The match finishes and the system settles you as the winner (ref for Rocket League, auto for arcade). You now have ~190 WT after fees.
You withdraw 190 WT → 19 USDC back to Solflare.
Next actions
When you finish reading this, you should be able to:
  • Go to /wallet and connect Solflare.
  • Confirm you see your SOL and USDC balances correctly.
  • Visit /discovery and read one match card so you understand the stake and format.
